Arsenal are apparently being told that Ryan Fraser is suddenly not for sale. Bummer. But this really isn’t that big of a deal. Life goes on. Who’s next?

Arsenal have been nipping at the heels of Ryan Fraser ever since the summer began, and the rumors have been circling. It looked like it would be an easy enough deal early on, but since then the price has risen, Fraser has declared himself unlikely to leave and now Bournemouth are apparently out here saying that Fraser isn’t for sale.

It’s a bummer. Fraser’s seven goals and 14 assists would have been a huge addition to the vacant winger situation at the Emirates.

But if Fraser really isn’t for sale, then get over it. Move on. One man’s availability isn’t going to make or break this transfer window, and frankly, the sooner we can get off the guys that we aren’t going to get, the better.

Once you step away from Fraser, you can look at all these other tremendous options to solve our winging situation. All of them in addition to the young players that are already coming up the system.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Obviously Yannick Carrasco comes to mind first of all. He is absolutely for sale and would cost less than Fraser. He’s the same age. He has more tricks than the Scottish winger and will be determined to prove himself on his return from the Chinese Super League.

Ismaila Sarr has to still be in the conversation as well, especially seeing as how his price, while raised, is still in the Ryan Fraser range. He’s only 21-years-old and he accounted for 12 goals and eight assists. He’s going to be the next Nicolas Pepe if he isn’t signed up soon.

Not satisfied? Try the best player available – Hakim Ziyech. Available for, you guessed it, less than Ryan Fraser. His goal numbers rank among the best in all of Europe, he’s always wanted to play for Arsenal, and frankly, I don’t know why we haven’t signed him already.

Ryan Fraser is a great option, and certainly we’d love to have him, but don’t lose sleep over his sudden unavailability. There are plenty of other options out there that are all in the same region as the Scot.

In the meantime, the good news is that we can put it behind us (unless, of course, the rumor isn’t true) and move on to players we can actually hope to sign.
