1. He’s the right man for the job

Hate is a strong word, but I hate the idea that there are people out there who already want Unai Emery fired. The No. 1 thing I learned this year about Unai Emery is that he is the absolute perfect man for the job. For all the previous reasons.

He carried over a lot of what made Arsene Wenger special – the class, the responsibility – while upgrading on a lot of the things that Wenger struggled with – enthusiasm, open-mindedness, picking favorites.

This manager that we have embodies the principles of Arsenal Football Club while bringing his own unique brand that fits hand-in-hand with those principles.

Even if a few results didn’t go his way, or if a few players didn’t jive with his managing style, if we allow him to build his own fortress at the Emirates, we will win trophies, we will see the club restored to its former glory and we will reach the heights and hit the peak that Wenger struggled to lift the club to.
