3. He’s building for the long-term

This is something I feel like I’ve had to say about seventy times throughout the course of the early years of Unai Emery. People expecting immediate results can go look elsewhere, at other teams, because they won’t find it here and, honestly, they shouldn’t. Even though we are seeing immediate improvements, both in the Premier League (more points) and the Europa League (further in).

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Still, Unai Emery isn’t here to win a title immediately. He is here to build a foundation for a prolonged stay at the club that can deliver results in the tumultuous modern era of modern football, the way that Arsenal Football Club would want it done.

It’s that simple. So all of this experimentation and figuring things out, while not always immediately bearing fruit, is all in the name of building a better future for this club. A future of prolonged success.

If you can’t get on board with that than, like I said, go sow your footballing seeds elsewhere. This is the right way to do it.

Moving on to No. 2.
