3. He does it all
After seeing what Sokratis was able to do, how he was able to assist the defense in his capacity, I have such optimism about Ivan Perisic. But I have even more optimism because of this wonderful fact that he can do so many things.

In case you haven’t heard, I cannot wait to see Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan sold. I could even get behind selling Alex Iwobi. These three were also “versatile” players, who were only versatile insofar as they were forced to be, always preferring one position and never excelling at any of the others.
Perisic actually is versatile. He’s as two-footed as they come and he can play across the board, either wings or as a central attacking force, and he has done it all with resounding success. He is w widely celebrated player, both on a club level and internationally, and let me take another potshot at all you agists and say that 30 is not old at all.
We need players who can move around, shift around, to accommodate Unai Emery’s changing whimsies. That man is Perisic.
More on that later. For now, on to No. 2.
