Arsenal travelled to Newcastle United to open their Premier League season on Sunday afternoon. Here are the player ratings from the 1-0 victory.

Arsenal opened their Premier League campaign with a hard-earned 1-0 win over Newcastle United. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did what Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang does, prodding over an onrushing Martin Dubravka with an excellent finish, while the defence, shockingly, held tight at the other end for the first away clean sheet of the season. It took them until April to get their first clean sheet on the road last season.

Goalkeeper

7.0. Fine. Made some good punches from crosses, his kicking was fine, but did not have much to do over the 90 minutes. Just did what he had to do, which is all you can ask of your goalkeeper.. GK. Arsenal. BERND LENO
