5. Aubameyang is worse than Kane?

You’ve heard it all before. Tottenham are the darlings of the English media, and given the heavy English bias in FIFA player rankings, I guess I should be surprised that Dele Alli is still rated an 84. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Harry Winks is an 80 (more on that later). I guess I should be surprised that the flop king of the world is rated better than the reigning Golden Boot winner.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Harry Kane took a one point deduction in his player rating, going from 90 to 89. If I know Spurs fans, that’s probably the main thing they are complaining about, but in the meantime, Aubameyang went from 88 to… 88.

The man tied for the most goals scored in the entirety of the toughest division in world football, but he didn’t get any better and somehow, despite consistently outscoring Kane, he still ranks lower in the ratings.

There’s no way you can justify this to me. You want to say that Aubameyang doesn’t do much else but score, well neither does Kane, does he? Unless flopping is a rating this year, in which case a quick 99 from Kane would certainly give him the edge.

On to No. 4.
