Didn’t have that much defending to do. Was composed on the ball, as he always has been, and ended one counter-attack in the second half with an excellent bit of patient defending. Then scored a goal, which was a lovely moment. Was also handed the captain’s armband when Ozil was withdrawn, which should not go unnoticed. More than anything, nice to see him back on the pitch. Wouldn’t be surprised if he plays in the Premier League soon.. CB. Arsenal. ROB HOLDING. 7.5

7.0. Credit where credit is due, this was a very good performance from Mustafi. Some audacious from corners, solid defending when required, though that was not all too often, and, most importantly in this type of match, good distribution with intentful passes into attacking zones.
