1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hasn’t scored in his last four appearances (281 minutes). That’s rare for him, but it’s also concerning in a couple of ways. Firstly, because it’s just overall very weird when he doesn’t score. But more than that, he hasn’t even really come that close to scoring. He hasn’t had consistent chances, and Lacazette’s return hasn’t helped the way it usually does.

Now, that probably means that he is long overdue to break the scoring drought and if I were a bettering man, I’d be cashing in on his chances of scoring against Wolves. But the reason why he tops the list is because no one gets more antsy when he hasn’t scored than him.

Scoring is just what he does naturally, and having gone so long without one (nearly a month…), it just feels like time for the dam to burst. Of course, that is also heavily dependent on those around him and their ability to feed him, but know that the longer Aubemayang doesn’t score, the more likely he is to score.

I don’t necessarily believe that means he will be trying harder just because he hasn’t scored in awhile, but I do believe the cosmos are ready to realign with another couple of goals from the prolific forward. That’s all.
