Arsenal vs Eintracht Frankfurt predicted XI: What is a ‘win’?
By Josh Sippie
Front Three
This is where we win or lose the game, because these are three players that I have more faith in, who have more talent, than perhaps anywhere else on the pitch. They also have far less question marks than any other position on the pitch. And that’s a big thing these days.
As always, we should be expecting Gabriel Martinelli to start up top as Emery continues to defy his own wishes not to turn the Brazilian in to a striker. It was a rare match last time out against Vitoria, because Martinelli didn’t score for the first time in… ever?
Nicolas Pepe will start on his right flank. Pepe played 45 minutes against Southampton, with very little success, but we all know he’s going to come good on that talent eventually, and continued exposure is the best way to get that.
Bukayo Saka will start on the other side. The youngster also ranked in on my forgotten players list and I am beyond thrilled to see his energy and enthusiasm back out there on the pitch. He was so vital for awhile, both in midweek and in the Premier League, and it’s time to get him back into the mix.
The only person that gets shafted out of this opportunity is Reiss Nelson, who I kind of hope will start, but then you have to ask who he takes the place of.
