5.5. He just is not a right-back. Tried his hardest, made some nice runs forward, closed down quickly and effectively, but when it comes to providing the natural impact of a full-back, he simply is not suited to it. I felt sorry for how many times he received the ball with nothing but a hopeful punt up the line.. RB. Arsenal. CALUM CHAMBERS

6.0. Defended superbly. He made several excellent covering clearances and interventions when the ball was on the opposite flank — many defenders switch off in this position, but Tierney was alert to the danger at all times. That said, his impact in possession was disappointing. Lacked spark when pushing forward, dribbled too much, and slowed down the play too often. I do, however, put more of the responsibility on Unai Emery here than Tierney. Like with Calum Chambers, he simply has no options.. LB. Arsenal. KIERAN TIERNEY
