Front Three

7.0. Brought off just before the hour mark for Mesut Ozil. Worked tirelessly off the ball, provided a lovely assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s opener, and was a threat throughout. Still needs to work on his hold-up play, losing possession a little cheaply at times and certainly looks more effective from central areas, but another promising performance from a prestigious talent.. RW. Arsenal. GABRIEL MARTINELLI

6.5. Was a threat in the first half with his speed and dribbling ability. Nearly scored with a deft dink over the goalkeeper and played a key role in the build-up to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s strike, but his impact tailed off in the second half and he wasted some good opportunities to break out on the counter-attack. A lovely turn late on to almost win a penalty, but the decision did not go his way. Better than some, but not his best either.. LW. Arsenal. BUKAYO SAKA

Arsenal. PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG. 7.0. Scored a good goal with a smart first-time finish, even if it did require a deflection off the goalkeeper’s legs, played a few nice flicks and tricks in the first half, but was largely anonymous. Needed to take charge of this match, especially in the second half, and was nowhere to be seen.. ST
