Arsenal need a manager who can understand that David Luiz and Sokratis are not a appropriate combination. Can someone please understand that?
It’s Groundhog Day for sadists. How the f*** do multiple Arsenal managers continue to prioritize Sokratis and David Luiz as the premier starting centerback duo. They go out of their f***ing way to start these two, they clear the crowd and they expect something new to happen.
Isn’t that the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? Congratulations, David Luiz and Sokratis, you are officially the barometer of the mental status of Premier League managers.
Really though, I don’t get it. How is it that we have kept all of one clean sheet all year with these two at the helm and no manager can put two and two together? Remember the last away clean sheet we’ve kept in about 20 months? It wasn’t these two. It was Calum Chambers and Sokratis at St. Mary’s.
And that’s the thing. Calum Chambers and Rob Holding and Konstantinos Mavropanos are sitting right f***ing there! Right f***ing there! And yet you turn to the clown and the sideshow clown to fix a defense that is the worst it’s been in a decade, and that really is saying something, seeing as how we gave up over 50 goals last year.

We’ve gotten worse! We’ve gotten worse on the defense thanks largely in part to two guys who continue to get called upon. How, how can anyone associated with the sport still think that the answer in any way involves Sokratis or David Luiz?
Even if you continue to use one or the other in an attempt to solve the problem, you just have to stop using them together. It has never worked, and we’ve got such a large sample size to choose from. Pick any performance between these two other than the one rare gem at home to Bournemouth and you will see the same thing.
You will see ineptitude.
So please stop. Please stop sending these two out there. There is not and has never been a good reason for doing so. You know it’s bad when I’m celebrating a David Luiz/Shkodran Mustafi partnership just because it’s a change.
I’ve said this so many times, but if you’re going to fail, at least fail with a defense that has a future. That isn’t these two.
