Seemingly everyone at Arsenal is asking for a new manager, and now even their current manager is asking for a manager. Never a good thing.

There is a major outcry going across the Emirates, a call for change. You’ve probably heard it, because you’re probably one of the people yelling. about it. I don’t blame you. And turns out, Arsenal‘s interim manager Freddie Ljungberg is yelling about it now too.

Ljungberg has been manager for just about two weeks and nothing has changed. Unai Emery is not the guy who drove this club into the dirt, it’s been a long time coming, but he is still the one being forced to take much of the blame, with Ljungberg’s inability to turn it around being described as him being out of his depth.

I won’t argue that. And neither will Ljungberg.

The club is interviewing a long list of managers to see who they think should be the next person to take charge. Names like Mikel Arteta and Max Allegri are at or near the top of any given list, but there are plenty of other names too. Some of which I’m not too fond of.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

You definitely have to find the right man for this, and not just a man, but you also have to show some sense of urgency, because no one at the club seems capable of doing that these days.

It’s gotten so bad that now, even our current manager is asking for the new manager.

After the match against Manchester City (if you can really call it a match), Ljungberg spoke out about how he has been asking for a decision to be made in the managerial department. Per Mertesacker is doing two jobs, he says, and all the staff are having to work double time to try to keep up with everything.

And all in all, Ljungberg is helpless to turn things around. It’s ridiculous how poorly equipped he is, and it’s not just his issue. It’s a club issue, and it needs to be sorted. If Freddie isn’t the way forward. Even Freddie would tell you that. He kind of already did. Now it’s up to the club to finally do something about it.

My only fear is that they won’t make a move with the hectic holiday fixture list. But I hope that this fear won’t be realized. It’s time to make a decision.
