Front Three

Man of the Match. Made some great runs to set up Martinelli in the early going but the young Brazilian was unable to give Pepe an assist. Did a very good job instigating throughout. That’s what we need, someone who is capable of making something out of nothing. He was our most dangerous player, no doubt. He always had an idea of how to make something work and he’s really starting to look confident. Not a perfect match, by any stretch, but a good one.. RW. Arsenal. NICOLAS PEPE. 7.6

LW. Arsenal. GABRIEL MARTINELLI. 7.0. Had the first real chance of the match and he scuffed it. Shame to see, because you wonder if Aubameyang would have done better. The same happened about eight minutes later. For the first time, I found myself doubting Martinelli. Of course, then he found himself at the end of a deflected cross just before half and it was literally impossible to miss.

Arsenal. ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE. 5.8. Struggled to get involved in the early going. You could be forgiven for not knowing he was out there. Honestly, when he was subbed out, I had so few notes on his performance that I’m not wondering if I missed something. Just wasn’t his match. Hasn’t been for awhile.. ST
