Arsenal vs Chelsea: 5 key players with so much on the line
By Josh Sippie
1. Gabriel Martinelli
The righteous savior from the match against Sheffield United. He wasn’t deterred by two decent missed chances, he still popped up in the perfect position to put home the only goal of the match. This is what you get out of the man. Even on an off day, he continues to provide the threat that’s needed.
And no better time, either. With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang out, I’ve been banking on Martinelli showing us that Aubameyang isn’t needed. Honestly, it’s not like it would take much. What Aubameyang gives us—goals, even on off days.
What Martinelli gave us—goals, even on off days.
Martinelli needs to keep it going against Chelsea, and his ability to do so could be the difference between us mounting a consistent attacking presence and us scrounging for hope from Nicolas Pepe.
Martinelli has the capacity to make this match something exciting. Something special. I just hope he can follow through.
