Arsenal: 5 key players to see us through Bournemouth in FA Cup
By Josh Sippie
1. Eddie Nketiah
Mikel Arteta clearly wants to get Eddie Nketiah into the mix. He even hinted that Nketiah could start getting green lights ahead of Alexandre Lacazette in the Premier League, so it only makes sense that we start seeing more of Nketiah, starting right here in the FA Cup.
After his loan failed at Leeds, Nketiah got right back into the action at Arsenal and looked pretty damn promising in the process. Like maybe the loan to Leeds wasn’t completely a waste. Which I think would be a surprise to everyone.
But we still haven’t seen a prolonged appearance by Nketiah, and I am so ready for it. And it’s only slightly related to my desire to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Only slightly.
Nketiah needs to prove himself. He needs to show progression. We haven’t seen enough of him in an Arsenal shirt yet to properly assess what his role will be in the future of the club, but optimism is high and this will be his first big chance to follow through on that optimism.
Nketiah will have his opportunities to score, now it’s just a matter him taking those chances and not letting them slip away.
