Centre-Backs

6.5. Some awkward moments in possession and inaccurate passes, especially in the first half — it was telling that Arsenal leaned on Shkodran Mustafi to build attacks, not Sokratis. His defensive acumen came to the fore after the break, especially aerially. He won five in total. Four of them came in the second period. Dominant from set-pieces and crosses, this was the hard-nosed Greek defender at his obdurate best.. CB. Arsenal. SOKRATIS

7.0. Had a few dodgy defensive moments, including the one in which he suffered a nasty looking injury, but on the whole, Mustafi was solid without the ball and excellent with it. It was his latter play that had the greatest impact on the match, playing several wonderful switches of play to Bukayo Saka and a number of line-splitting passes into Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah. An encouraging performance.. CB. Arsenal. SHKODRAN MUSTAFI
