Full-Backs

Hector Bellerin has looked close to his best upon his return to the team. The Spaniard started his first two games under Mikel Arteta in the past week, but with a two-week break looming and still the need to find fitness and regularity, Arteta may return to Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who excelled at right-back prior to Bellerin’s return.

Maitland-Niles has enjoyed an invaluable rest, not starting either of the last two matches. Expect him to return to the starting XI fit and firing on Sunday afternoon.

Opposite the Englishman, another Hale End graduate. Bukayo Saka is the only fit ‘left-back’ in the squad. Saka is not really a left-back by trade, but Arteta has brilliantly amended the position to suit the 18-year-old’s offensive skill set. Saka will start with no other options available, and then he will enjoy the much-needed break.
