Arsenal’s season hangs in limbo with the EPL postponed, but here are three things that have gone incredibly right thus far into the year.

With the Premier League currently suspended for the foreseeable future, we have the luxury of taking a break to look back on this Arsenal season thus far and evaluate things in detail. Maybe that’s a good thing, maybe not.

Still, we have to avoid the obvious trap of seeing the table and thinking that the year has downright sucked. That’s what the news media is trying to pitch as the story here, but it’s not the story. We actually have a ton to look forward to, a ton to be excited about, and we don’t have to wait years to enjoy it. We can enjoy it right now.

So that’s what I want to do. I want to highlight three things that have gone incredibly right this year. Three things that aren’t ages off, but are rather at the club right here and right now. No timelapse required.

So let’s dig into tree things that have gone right this year, starting with No. 3.

3. Mikel Arteta is the man

The thing we all have to remember about this year is that Mikel Arteta has only been in charge since Christmas. Due to mismanagement, poor player morale and a whole slew of other things, Unai Emery and Freddie Ljungberg drove the club down into the middle of the table, unable to put together any sort of consistency.

We brought in Arteta to fix the problem, and he has. In very little time, he has completely turned around the prospectus of the club. Since taking over, the club, with a game in hand, would be just three points out of second place. That’s how conclusively he’s turned all of this around.

No matter what happened before Arteta arrived, he’s here now, and that’s all we can ask for. He’s turning the club around quickly and conclusively and while we do have to be patient and let the man work, we can know that the foundation has been set.

On to No. 2, which is more Arteta.
