Arsenal: 3 reasons why Diogo Jota is perfect
1. He is proven to be productive
Ultimately, you can sign players at the right position, at the right age, that fit into the team correctly and have strong character, but ultimately, if they are not very good players, they will not be good signings. Smart recruitment is signing good players. Thankfully, Diogo Jota is a very good player.
This season, Jota has played 1773 minutes in the Premier League. He has six goals and one assist. He has played 329 minutes in the Europa League and remarkably has another six goals to his name. Last season, Jota scored nine goals with five assists 2,369 Premier League minutes. He also scored three and added five assists in 389 Europa League minutes.
Jota is extremely productive, despite his young age. He is also a wonderful game-changer. His movement is terrific, his dribbling skills are frightening, he has vision, creativity. As a modern-day wide attacker who can score and create goals, he is absolutely ideal.
There is very little wrong with a Jota transfer. In fact, the only problem might be convincing him to move and agreeing on a viable fee with Wolves. But based on the football and the football only, Jota might just be perfect.
