2. Kieran Tierney

Kieran Tierney was supposed to revolutionize Arsenal. With him on the left and Bellerin on the right, we were going to have two dynamic fullbacks that could defend and attack among the best in the world.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Unfortunately, Tierney has been hurt literally all year and only managed to put together about 600 minutes of play between the Premier League and the Europa League. But he’s still managed two assists in that time and showcased just how incredible he’s going to be if we can ever get him healthy.

Just 22-years-old, Tierney should be supercharging this squad for years to come. The fact that we’ve only gotten a taste this year means that when he hits full form next year, it may well feel like a fresh transfer all over again. I guess that depends on how the rest of this season shapes up though.

Whatever the case, Tierney, like Bellerin, can be world-class if only he could find the fitness and the form to get there. Once he does though, we’ll be elated at the modest price we paid for him. He’s certainly not at risk of being sold, but in case it needs to be said—do not sell.

Finally, No. 1.
