1. Nicolas Pepe

In a future where we lose both Aubameyang and Lacazette, we are going to need some kind of elite, proven scoring threat. While Martinelli and Saka should definitely be points of excitement in that category, Nicolas Pepe is the main man. He would be the head honcho of this attack.

I know he’s been inconsistent this year, but through it all, he’s become our second most effective goal producer behind just Aubameyang. His moments of individual inspiration have set him up to do things no one else at the club can do. And his biggest “crime” is trying too hard at times. He needs to learn to play within his means more. That’s all.

This is also a matter of “what could be.” We have not seen the best of Pepe. Well, we have, just not consistently. And until we do, his value will never reach the heights of what we paid for him.

Not just that, but seeing as how we are still going to be paying him off for the next half-decade, we can’t exactly be spinning around and selling him. Mostly because we’d never get the same price that we paid for him. But we shouldn’t be looking for it anyway.
