2. Alexandre Lacazette

In 2018/19, Alexandre Lacazette’s was Arsenal’s best player. He was deserverdly named the club’s Player of the Season by supporters, he inspired the team with several superb individual displays, and bar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, was one of the few individuals to prove his elite quality.

It was hoped that he could at least get close to replicating these types of performances this season. Sadly, however, the Frenchman has struggled throughout the year and largely underwhelmed. He is yet to score away from home, has combined for only 10 goals and assists in the Premier League, and went more than two months without a goal while suffering from a crisis of confidence.

Now, despite these difficulties, Lacazette has been more impactful than many of his critics would portray. In fact, he is now underrated among the Arsenal fanbase. Nevertheless, in comparison to the level he maintained last season, this year has been very disappointing indeed.
