4. An undeserved yet crucial victory

Arsenal did not play particularly well. Leicester created several excellent chances, the Gunners struggled to do more than pass the ball between themselves for large portions of the match, and in the end, they had to rely on some weird goals to snatch an undeserved victory.

And yet, while all that may be true, and while these performance-based issues are problems that Arsene Wenger will have to address as the season progresses, ultimately, none of it matters. Arsenal won the game, and it sets them up perfectly for their impending top-four challenge.

The successful teams at the sharp end of the table find ways to win matches that they do not deserve to win. That is precisely what the Gunners did here. They will need to improve, without question, but if they can keep winning ugly, Arsene Wenger will take his team back to the promised land.
