Front Three

4.0. Poor. Yes, he might have scored the equalising goal just before half-time, but it was an open-goal tap-in after some excellent work by Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac. His touch was loose, his passing was even worse, and his movement was limited, to say the least. Produced almost nothing of note, which is disappointing.. LW. Arsenal. DANNY WELBECK

3.0. This was Mesut Ozil at his worst. He tried things, which you want. But as soon as they failed, and they certainly failed with painful frequency on this occasion, his shoulders dropped, he lost interest in the game, and his influence waned. Had a strong 10-15 minute in the first half, during which Arsenal really seemed to tick. He more than made up for that with some dreadful play after the break, holding onto the ball too long, misplacing passes, and making the wrong decisions.. RW. Arsenal. MESUT OZIL

ST. Arsenal. ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE. 7.5. It was a brilliant announcement of his talent. Drifting wide of Wes Morgan, Lacazette deftly, intelligently steered Mohamed Elneny’s cross into the bottom corner. It took two minutes for him to declare his goalscoring prowess. His overall play was sharp. His touch is superb, he is a clinical dribbler, and he comes alive in the penalty area. A very encouraging display from Arsenal’s club-record signing.
