Arsenal: 5 reasons Marcel Sabitzer should be top priority

2. He’s all you’d need
The debate that I’ve been raging about is who you prioritize between Thomas Partey and Dani Ceballos. It’s hard to imagine us getting both, giving the price that overhaul would necessitate, and neither one does the other’s job well enough to be the be-all, end-all of this midfield.

That’s because Marcel Sabitzer is the be-all, end-all of this midfield. While he doesn’t defend as well as Partey, he has more proven attacking ability than Ceballos and he has enough defensive capabilities to be a serviceable help deeper in the formation, helping our defenders stem off opposing attacks.
If you fork out for Sabitzer, you don’t need to buy another midfielder. If you buy Ceballos, the case could be made that we need to invest in a defensive midfielder, since Lucas Torreira is still a question mark. If you buy Partey, you really need Ceballos to carry the attacking torch.
But if you buy Sabitzer, you can just buy Sabitzer and your midfield needs are complete. It’s the easiest option and despite likely being the most expensive of the three, he could well end up being the cheapest because of how well he does literally everything.
