1. Diogo Jota

Like David Neres, Diogo Jota satisfies the three broad characteristics that Arsenal should be looking for in any Aubameyang replacement. He is 23 years of age, which is the perfect time to invest in a player, he is a winger who can play all across the attack and has even performed excellently in a pair, and he has been very productive.

This season, Jota has played 1773 minutes in the Premier League. He has six goals and one assist. He has played 329 minutes in the Europa League and remarkably has another six goals to his name. Last season, Jota scored nine goals with five assists 2,369 Premier League minutes. He also scored three and added five assists in 389 Europa League minutes.

He is frighteningly quick, an able, direct dribbler who commits defenders and then skips by them with blistering acceleration, and, unlike Neres, he is proven in the Premier League, relishing the physical, aggressive style of play which opens up spaces in behind defences that he can exploit.
