1. Marcel Sabitzer

Marcel Sabitzer is my Bundesliga Christian Eriksen. He’s the guy that my club always played against who I hated because I secretly really wanted him at my club. Yes, I always wanted Eriksen at Arsenal. But if we can go ahead and jump borders and get Sabitzer at the Emirates, then that’s even better, because he can stop playing against Schalke.

Sabitzer is everything we could want a midfielder to be. He’s the kind of goal threat that can score from distance or penetrate with late runs and score that way. Sound like anyone you know?

Yeah, he’s just like Aaron Ramsey except without the spotty injury history. He’s got the strength and physique to make it in the Premier League and he’s got the same versatility that Grealish boasts, only without the left-side limitation. Marcel Sabitzer plays literally everywhere.

He can be the No. 10, he can be a wide midfielder, he can be the midfield anchor. And I’ll say it again, if we can create a midfield trio of Sabitzer, Thomas Partey and Xhaka, then we will never want for midfielders ever again. Or at least not for another five years. Ish.
