Following on in the theme of dream players that Arsenal could never afford and the club would never sell, Marcus Rashford is next on the list. Obviously, this transfer would never take place, but the 22-year-old would be the perfect replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in Mikel Arteta’s slanted left-wing role.

Rashford has scored 14 goals and added four assists in just 1882 Premier League minutes. But of those 14 goals, 12 have come when he has been stationed on the left-wing, a role that he has made his own this season. His speed is frightening, but he allies this with silky skills and an eye for goal that reveals his youth as a centre-forward.

If Arsenal are looking for a productive, goalscoring attacker who can cut inside from the left flank and sear in behind opposing defences, they will not find a better option than Rashford. It is a shame he would never join, then.
