Norwich City

Norwich City might end up being the best team to ever finish bottom of the Premier League. They have performed wildly better than their position in the table suggests and they have several excellent players that some of the top clubs will be chasing this summer.

I did consider both Todd Cantwell and Emiliano Buendia, both of which could offer solutions to the Gunners’ creative midfield problems — Buendia has truly outrageous creative statistics, especially for a team in the relegation zone. Nevertheless, in the end, I went with Max Aarons, primarily because I think he might be special.

Aarons only turned 20 in January. He has been a regular fixture for Norwich back to their Championship days and has played in 93% of Norwich’s games this season. He is an athletic, attacking, intelligent right-back who could be the perfect understudy and eventual replacement for Hector Bellerin. As the Spaniard’s injury history lengthens, Aarons could supplant him and be Arsenal’s right-back solution for the next decade.
