Arsenal: One dream target to sign from every Premier League club
Watford
Strong, powerful, dynamic, all-action, deceptively comfortable on the ball, an eye for goal, hustling and bustling, Abdoulaye Doucoure might be one of the most underrated players in the Premier League. That tends to be the case when you play for an undercovered Watford side that is struggling to stave off relegation.
His defensive numbers are solid: two successful tackles per 90 minutes, 0.9 interceptions per 90, 0.9 clearances per 90, and, perhaps most importantly for an often flimsy Arsenal team that lacks bite and an inherently scrappy streak, eight yellow cards, averaging 1.5 fouls per 90. But Doucoure is more than just a destroyer.
He averages 1.3 chances created per 90 minutes, completes two-third of his dribble attempts, which average at 1.9 attempts per 90, has four goals, two assists and averages 1.8 shots per 90, and maintains a pass completion rate of 79.5%. Doucoure is an all-around central midfielder. And having just turned 27, he is only now entering his prime years.
