Burnley

As they say in the sporting world with drafts, ‘best player available’. realistically, Burnley do not have a player that could solve any of Arsenal’s needs. James Tarkowski is a decent centre-back but not a big enough upgrade on David Luiz or Shkodran Mustafi, Nick Pope is an excellent goalkeeper, but the Gunners don’t need one, while the majority of Burnley’s key players are in the back end or even beyond their prime.

Dwight McNeil, on the other hand, is one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League. At just 20 years of age, he is a regular starter for Sean Dyche’s side at left-midfield. Pacy and terrific on the ball, he is a capable dribbler, dangerous in space and on the counter-attack, and has shown an improved end product this season.

He now has two goals and five assists on the year, the latter of which leads all Burnley players. He attempts 4.1 dribbles per 90 minutes and completes 2.2 of those, both team-leading figures, while he delivers 7.4 crosses per 90 minutes also. There is enough there to work with that should at least entice the Arsenal coaches.
