Central Midfield—Best

There’s a lot to talk about here. And none of it is cheap. Arsenal’s central midfield currently boasts Granit Xhaka, Dani Ceballos, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira. Ceballos’s loan is coming to an end. I wouldn’t be surprised if Torreira gets sold, though the return on that should be a nice chunk.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

That leaves a big, wide-open need to fill here. Even if Torreira does stay, we still need a little outside help.

The two big names that top this list are Thomas Partey and Marcel Sabitzer. The link to the latter is lessening, with Tottenham all-in on the guy that ripped them apart. I will also cry if he goes to Spurs.

But getting Partey would be an easy balance. Both of these guys would work wonders to establishing dominion in the center of the pitch and when paired with Xhaka and whoever else we decide to add, the power in possession is to die for.

Partey or Sabitzer. Get either (or both!) and no one can have any complaints.

Midfield worst, next.
