Full-Backs

Oddly enough given their struggles throughout the current season, Arsenal have two very well-defined starting options at both full-back positions: Hector Bellerin on the right side and Kieran Tierney opposite of him.

The pair, however, entered the season injured, before then suffering their respective issues upon their returns. Tierney dislocated his shoulder in December while Bellerin has struggled with hamstring and groin problems upon his return from rupturing his ACL the previous season. The pair combine for just 13 Premier League appearances, of which two were from off the bench.

However, Bellerin is back in the fold and will have time to rest his rocked groin, while Tierney had taken part in full training just before the coronavirus delay. Assuming fitness, which is not an insignificant assumption given their histories, they will be Arsenal’s starters next season.
