2. Bukayo Saka

What more can be said about Bukayo Saka? 18 years of age. Playing in a position that he has not spent much time in throughout his career. Thrust into the first team with injuries to players ahead of him. There were plenty of reasons why Saka could have folded in the limelight this season. Instead, he stepped up and flourished.

Saka leads the squad in assists. No teenager in the Premier League has more assists. His quality on the ball, athleticism, precise passing, and stupendous crossing have all formed a player who has injected a breath of fresh air into the first team. And he still does not turn 19 until September.

Quite what his best position will be remains to be seen. Saka grew up a left-winger and is certainly an offensive-minded player with his best work done with the ball at his feet in advanced areas of the pitch. But he has settled into life as a left-back nicely and might end up fulfilling that role as a veteran. Nevertheless, for now, Saka is on a meteoric trajectory and nothing looks set to stop him.
