1. Hector Bellerin

Even with Aubameyang in the squad, there might not be a better candidate to take on the role as the premier leader in the squad than Hector Bellerin. He is the longest-serving player in the squad, he is extremely popular among the players and fans, and he is a natural leader, if not quite cut in the same mould as the traditional version.

And by his own admission, he has always been a natural leader and captain, an inspiring, encouraging figure who people are naturally drawn to and are wanting to follow:

"“I’ve been lucky to have captained the side a couple of times, too. Since I was young at Barcelona, I would always be one of the three captains in the team. For me, it was a role I’m used to <…> People may not see me as this massive guy who shouts on the pitch all the time or what people may have as a captain in their heads, but there are so many different ways of leading a team.”"

Bellerin is a true leader. There is no better player to inherit Aubameyang’s mantle than him.
