Arsenal has a couple key signings to make this summer, so let’s go through each Bundesliga club and find one key player they could pry from each.

Arsenal‘s needs this summer are pretty specific, but they would become a lot more diverse if they sell the number of players that they probably should be selling. A lot of dead weight has piled up over the years, and I still believe that one of Unai Emery’s failings was not clearing out more of the unneeded personnel.

It’s never a bad idea to turn your transfer needs to the Bundesliga, where there is such an underrated stock of elite talent, young and old, that can plug into what the Gunners need and be ready to go from day one.

And there are already plenty of rumors circulating between the Emirates and solutions in Germany.

As it stands, our club primarily needs help at centerback and central midfield, but keep an eye out for creative midfielders and strikers as well.

Let’s dig in. One team at a time, one target from each Bundesliga team. As a note, I’ll say that I’m looking at realistic targets, not dream targets. So don’t come at me with your Erling Haaland nonsense. We’ll have to wait until he’s 30.

Anyway, we’ll start at the top of the alphabet, Augsburg.

Augsburg

Augsburg was in a relegation battle for a while but, at the moment, they look to be in a place of some safety, sitting five points above the relegation zone.

I semi wanted to say that Stephan Lichtsteiner is the guy we should be after, but on a serious note, look at Tin Jedvaj. The 24-year-old defender has been a top performer this year and he’s versatile as can be.

Being able to play all across the backline, he could be a masterclass signing by the Gunners to argument a defense that has a lot of question marks. This year alone, we’ve seen all four of our starting fullbacks hurt and numerous centerbacks ruled out as well.

Jedvaj would be a massive lift in that regard, and he wouldn’t be all that expensive either.

Moving on to Bayer Leverkusen.
