Hertha Berlin

Time to meet a guy that I genuinely enjoy watching and who I would enthusiastically take at the Emirates—Marko Grujic. The budding Hertha Berlin star has the strength and size to play the game defensive, as well as the ingenuity to sizzle taking the ball forward.

He’s a quality dribbler, he’s a regular goal threat, he’s secure on the ball, and if you want to start getting really optimistic, he could be seen as a fresh rendition of Marcel Sabitzer.

What Grujic really needs is to get to a team with a supporting cast to help him really pop. And it’s hard to think of a better opportunity to take a step up than into the gap that is about to open up in the Arsenal midfield. With Dani Ceballos unlikely to stay and the need for a multi-faceted pivot, Grujic could well be the guy.

His price tag does not necessitate immediate acclimation, he can learn as he goes and fill in accordingly, but in the end, he’s got the talent to do something special with the role, even if it takes him a couple years to get there.

Next stop, Hoffenheim.
