Another player linked as a replacement for the impending departure of Dani Ceballos. You can see why Mikel Arteta would be interested in any potential transfer—he’s young Spanish and has the potential to improve the team, which is exactly what Arteta would be looking for.

His stats of three goals from midfield this season are below average but still better than goal contributions from our current midfield.

He would command a transfer fee of around £36 million which is what we would be expected to pay for Dani Ceballos and my personal preference would be for us to keep Ceballos but that would be down to the player.

In the case of Soler if the club were serious about making a move then we have a strong likelihood of obtaining him, however, I believe we would be paying over the odds for him if we paid his asking fee.
