2. Sort out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

This situation with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won’t be resolvable until we see how the season ends and until we see what happens with Ozil. If we make it into the Champions League, this might be an easy number to cross off the list. If we don’t, we need to sell Ozil before we can afford to pay Aubameyang what he deserves.

More than that though, if we do have to sell Aubameyang, the profit that he brings in will be the majority of our summer transfer budget. We need that money to know how much we can expect to spend on stuff like item No. 3 on this list, as well as on another potential centerback.

Not to mention that once we sell him, we can move forward with deciding what to do with Alexandre Lacazette and thus figuring out what is needed to properly stock this striking corps.

But that all starts with figuring out Aubameyang’s situation. Obviously we’d like to keep him, but there are a lot of factors getting in the way of making that a straightforward decision. Sell Ozil to free up the wages, then solve this little issue.
