3, For: He can grow into the club
Given that Dani Ceballos is only 23-years-old and given that he still stands as highly regarded as he does, there’s still a lot of reason to believe that he is the player we thought he was at the top of the year, back when we were stressed about finding a way to keep him.

Sure, this one year loan was supposed to be an audition, but it hasn’t worked out that way and we have to adapt accordingly. After all, it’s not like anything ever goes according to plan.
All things considered, he is a young, talented midfielder who has retained a starting job in our midfield for a good chunk of the year. The seed has been planted for him to grow into so much more if we sign him on a permanent deal and while I know it’s a lot to ask to spend that kind of money on someone’s potential, there are certainly worse ideas out there. We got a free sample of what Ceballos is, now we just have to ask ourselves if a continuation of that is what this midfield needs.
But before I answer that, let’s get into another reason against.
