2. Do we need anything more?

Serious question. I know I go on and on about having a central midfield revamp, and how that’s the primary objective in the transfer window and I still agree with that. But the difference between central midfield and chance creation is that in central midfield, we still have options. Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi aren’t going anywhere. They still need help, sure.

More from Pain in the Arsenal

Further up though? Nothing. Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan should both be on the way out the door. Now, maybe that allows Mikel Arteta to get back to a midfield three without a No. 10, but maybe all of this using Mesut Ozil wasn’t a favor to Ozil, but Arteta’s preferred method of play. Maybe he really does want a No. 10 in there and Ozil was all he had.

That being the case, you cannot to better than Kai Havertz, who is no slouch in the physicality department either. He’s a universal talent who doesn’t have any weaknesses he can’t grow out of and seeing as how the Gunners need nothing more than a creative force, it’s conceivable that they go all-in on arguably the best young talent in the world.

Never underestimate what a determined Arsenal Football Club can do. They are still one of the biggest clubs in the world, no matter what the media tries to tell us.

Finally, No. 1.
