The midfielder is only 23 years of age. He will not turn 24 until midway through next season. That is the perfect age to invest in a new player. They are still improving, still fine-tuning their game, have the remainder of their primes to enjoy, and can be sold on for hefty profits by 27 if the opportunity arises.
Buendia will also be relatively cheap. Rather than costing the best part of £100 million like Jack Grealish or James Maddison or Kai Havertz might command, Buendia could be bought for as little as £20 million, especially if Norwich are relegated, which is looking increasingly likely.
