Arsenal: 15 major transfer rumors rated by plausibility and need

12. Carlos Soler—Plausibility 6/10, Need 4/10
I’ve had an ongoing feud with all rumors linking Arsenal to Carols Soler these past few months because of one big reason—cost. Cost. Cost. Cost. According to the rumors, Valencia need to raise a decent amount of money to help with the club’s financials and apparently, Soler is their guy to do it.

At just 23-years-old, there is a lot to like about Soler. Some rather audacious folk have likened him to Santi Cazorla, even going so far as to call him the next Santi Cazorla. That’s a bit of a leap. What’s more of a leap, though, is the reported £36m price tag that comes with securing his services permanently.
I’m not a fan of it. That’s how much Dani Ceballos would cost and Ceballos is the same age and more seasoned in the Premier League than Soler, plus he has already proven that he has what it takes, we just need to see more consistency.
Soler is a big leap for a lot of money, yet his similarities to Mikel Arteta, the player, are plain to see, and he keeps hanging around the rumor mill, making his plausibility sneak up the scale while his need stays fairly low.
