10. Odsonne Edouard—Plausibility 8/10, Need ?/10

Pretty much everything I said about Luka Jovic can be reapplied here, with some key differences. Odsonne Edouard is a much different striker in a much different situation than Jovic. While Jovic is at a tip-top club and not getting enough playing time, Edouard is getting all the playing time he wants while truly thriving at a solid club in an alright league.

Jovic needs to be rescued, Edouard needs to take a step up. The Celtic man has been scoring more goals with each passing year and while it’s unrealistic to expect that to continue if he moves to Arsenal, it’s realistic to think he could still produce a literal ton of goals. More than we’re getting out of Lacazette.

What makes Edouard slightly more plausible than Jovic is that he’s more like Aubameyang, who many would say we are more at risk of losing. Edouard is the speedy, forward-moving goal threat that Aubameyang is, while Jovic is the presence holder that Lacazette is.

Again, determining the need of this move is next to impossible without knowing who we will still have upfront at the end of the year.
