1. Marcel Sabitzer

Have I mentioned Marcel Sabitzer before? He might have slipped my mind.

Seriously. Why does no one except Tottenham seem to grasp that Sabitzer is an elite midfielder who will change the face of whatever team he is on? The only reason Tottenham want to sign him is because he ripped them a new arsehole, so they see this as recruiting the Boogeyman. If you sign him he can’t hurt you anymore.

But if we sign him, imagine how much they will hurt.

We need a midfielder who can do exactly what Sabitzer does. He produces goals regularly and consistently. Look at his numbers. Watch him play. He’s a constant threat to the opposing goal (even if it’s not Spurs) and he accounts for more goals than our entire midfield put together.

He won’t come cheap, but the best rarely do. He’s got the physicality to stand up against Premier League opposition and he’s got the presence we need to establish a serious force from the middle of the pitch.
