1. Donyell Malen

When Donyell Malen first arrived at Arsenal, he was a massive, massive signing. The teenager carried so much hype from the Netherlands that it seemed inevitable that he’d inherit our striker throne. But like the other two on this list, the opportunity just never came and he slipped through our fingers back to the Eredivisie, where he currently suits up for PSV Eindhoven.

Since becoming a semi-regular player with the Dutch outfit two years ago, Malen hasn’t stopped scoring. He’s produced a goal every 82 minutes, which is just ridiculous. His value has ballooned from the chump change that we sold him for up to £25m, with a further increase undoubtedly coming as he continues to establish himself.

Arsenal is probably looking at a striker situation this summer, with rumors tying both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette to an exit this summer, depending on how the season ends up, Malen could have found his place alongside Eddie Nketiah as the next era of Arsenal strikers.
