1, Jovic: He’s ready
Ever since making the jump to Real Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt following his one big breakout year, Luka Jovic has fallen under all kinds of criticism both at home and abroad. In his native Serbia, he is being accused of ruining his career and in Spain, he’s far from earning praise. Zidane recently reportedly had an outburst declaring how he wanted Jovic out of the club.
All of the bad press combined with the lack of opportunity has driven Jovic into the ground. All of his hype is evaporating. If ever there was a guy desperate to get back to good form, to just play football at the top level again, it’s Luka Jovic.
It’s a delicate situation, “rescuing” a player and expecting him to fit right in, but for someone like Jovic, it seems like an impossible-to-miss opportunity. Jovic would be grateful to the club that “rescued” him from fading into obscurity and you definitely want someone grateful to you that can do what Jovic can do.
He’s an incredibly talented young striker who just needs his opportunity to get back to his top form. We can give him that. He just needs to bring the shine.
