Arsenal: 3 reasons for and against keeping Alexandre Lacazette

2, For: He’s embedded in the club

This is always one of the hardest factors to get over. When a player spends a good deal of time at the club, he starts to feel like family. You see him on social media sporting the Arsenal colors, you see him having fun with teammates, and you realize that to sell him now would be like ripping a sibling out of a family and selling them to another country. If such a thing was legal.

Who hasn’t enjoyed the dynamic duo, Aubameyang and Lacazette? They are real-life bros. They are the kind of epic partnership that can do incredible things at a club. We are already at risk of losing Aubameyang, are we really prepared to lose Lacazette to?

It’s a very similar situation as what happened to Olivier Giroud. Although it was on a heightened level with Giroud, since he’d been here so much longer. People questioned his quality for years, but when they finally sold him—and down the road to Chelsea no less—it hurt. Even for those that didn’t like him.

Losing Lacazette would hurt. He’s an Arsenal man, and it should never be easy to part with Arsenal men.
