Arsenal: Every single reason not to sell Hector Bellerin
By Josh Sippie
3. He’s captain material
Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person who puts a lot of credence in our choice of captain, but I wasn’t all that fond of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being given the armband. I want someone who knows and understands the club and has grown with the club, overcome adversity with the club, been servant to the club, etc. etc.

Right now, Arsenal don’t really have anyone like that other than Hector Bellerin. You could add Calum Chambers and Granit Xhaka to the mix, but I’ll say that Bellerin looks the better choice for captain. Especially seeing as how he has already served as captain once, when Aubameyang wasn’t on the pitch.
You can never have too much captain material at the club, and selling Bellerin eliminates the man who is almost assuredly our best choice to take on the armband. Chances are we will lose Aubameyang in the summer, he’s our captain now. Are we really ready to lose our vice-captain too?
Then who gets it? Shkodran Mustafi? Kieran Tierney? Get real. We need a great captain and that great captain is Hector Bellerin.
On to the next.
